What is a dummy ticket and is it legal?
A dummy ticket — also called a flight reservation, flight itinerary, or onward ticket — is a reservation-style booking document issued without paying for a full ticket. It's completely legal and widely accepted by embassies, consulates, and immigration authorities worldwide for visa applications and proof of onward travel. Each document carries a unique PNR code and a QR code; embassies and third parties can verify authenticity instantly via our secure portal.
What's the difference between a dummy ticket and a real ticket?
A real ticket is a confirmed, paid-for seat that allows you to actually fly. A dummy ticket (flight reservation) is a reservation-style document intended for visa applications — it carries a PNR code and a QR-verifiable reference, but is not paid in full and cannot be used for boarding. For visa applications, embassies only need proof of intended travel, not proof of purchase. Flight reservations cost $10 vs $500–$2,000+ for real tickets, with no cancellation penalty if your visa is denied.
What is an onward ticket and why do I need one?
An onward ticket is proof that you have travel plans to leave a country after your visit. Many countries (Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, USA, UK) require airlines to check for onward tickets at check-in before boarding. Without one, you can be denied boarding. A flight reservation satisfies this requirement at a fraction of the cost of a real return ticket.
Pricing & Refunds
5 questions
How much does a flight reservation for visa cost?
Onward Itinerary offers flight reservations starting at $10.00 per person — among the cheapest in the market. Pricing depends on validity period: 48 hours ($10), 72 hours ($12), 7 days ($15), 14 days ($20), 1 month ($30), 3 months ($45), 6 months ($60). This includes a verifiable PNR code and a professional PDF itinerary.
Can I get a refund if my visa application is denied?
Here's how refunds work on our service: you can request a full refund any time before you download your PDF. Once you've downloaded the PDF, the order is considered delivered and becomes non-refundable — this is because the reservation has been issued, a PNR has been assigned, and the QR verification record is live on our portal.
Specifically for visa denial: a rejection caused solely by the flight reservation is extremely rare. If you haven't downloaded the PDF yet and you receive a denial, you can still request a refund via [email protected]. Cases after download are reviewed case-by-case with written embassy proof, but refunds aren't guaranteed at that stage.
How long can a flight reservation be valid?
You can choose from 7 validity options: 48 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, 14 days, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. The PNR remains QR-verifiable through our portal throughout the selected period. Choose a validity that covers your entire embassy processing window — from submission to decision — so the booking is still live when the embassy verifies it.
Can I edit my flight reservation after purchase?
Yes. You can request modifications to passenger names, flight dates, or routes within the validity period. Log into your account or use the Manage Booking page to request changes. A small administrative fee may apply for changes made more than 24 hours after purchase. Major route changes typically require a fresh booking.
How do you compare to other flight reservation services?
Onward Itinerary offers the lowest prices in the market ($10 starting vs competitors' $15–$35), instant automated delivery (vs 30–60 minute manual processing at some competitors), and broader coverage (400+ airlines in our database). Every document we issue carries a unique PNR and a QR code that any third party can scan to verify authenticity through our secure portal — something most low-cost competitors don't offer.
Process & Delivery
4 questions
How long does it take to receive the flight reservation?
Flight reservations are delivered instantly — typically within 2–5 minutes after successful payment. You'll receive an email with a PDF containing your flight itinerary, PNR code, passenger details, and airline information. No manual processing delays — our system books automatically in the GDS the moment your payment is confirmed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and regional payment methods like PayFast for South African customers. All payments are processed through SSL-encrypted, PCI-compliant gateways. We never store your full card details on our servers.
Do I need to provide passport details?
You need to provide your full name as shown on your passport, nationality, and date of birth. Passport number is optional but recommended for more professional-looking documentation. The name on the reservation must exactly match your passport and visa application — names cannot be changed after booking.
Can I book a round-trip flight reservation?
Yes. When searching for flights, select "Round Trip" and specify both your outbound and return dates. Most visa applications (especially Schengen, UK, US, Canada) require round-trip reservations to demonstrate intent to return. The price is the same for round-trip as one-way — no extra charge.

Trust & Verification
5 questions
Is the PNR verifiable on the airline website?
Yes. Every reservation is created through legitimate GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport) that connect directly to airline reservation systems. The PNR code can be verified on the airline's official website using their "Manage Booking" or "Check-In" portal during the validity period you selected. Try it immediately after receiving your PDF — the booking will appear live in the airline's system.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. We use bank-level 256-bit SSL encryption for all data transmission. Your passport and personal details are stored encrypted in compliance with GDPR and international data protection standards. We never share your information with third parties, and we automatically delete passport details 90 days after the reservation expires.
What airlines are available in your system?
We have access to 400+ airlines worldwide through GDS systems, including major carriers: British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, Delta, United, Air Canada, Qantas, South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, and hundreds of regional carriers.
Is Onward Itinerary a registered business?
Yes. Onward Itinerary is operated by OnwardItinerary Pty Ltd, a registered South African company located at 14 John Street, Selby, Johannesburg, 2001. We're a legitimate travel agency with IATA-affiliated GDS access. Full business details are available on our About page, and you can contact us directly at [email protected].
Do you offer hotel confirmations for visa applications?

Accepted by most embassies as proof of accommodation — especially important for Schengen visa applications.
